Food and drink areas

Three dining areas located at the heart or one the edge of the castle offer a wide-ranging variety of culinary products, particularly local specialties, and provide high-quality service.

Le Café d’Orléans

Located in the heart of the castle with a terrace overlooking a courtyard and a fireplace that crackles in autumn, the Café d’Orléans welcomes visitors for tea or lunch, during the opening hours of the castle.

Open from February through November and during the Christmas holidays.


Le café des écuries (the stableside café)

In the heart of the stables of Maurice Marshal of Saxony, this privileged space welcomes to share refreshments just a few meters from the equidae. Open on the same dates as the show of horses and birds of prey.


From 30 April to 30 June / 1 to 30 September: 10.30 am – 1 pm
Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays in June and September: 10.30am – 5.30pm
From July 1st to August 31st: 10.30am – 5.30pm

Autour du Puits (around the well)

At the foot of the château, Autour du Puits (around the well) proposes salted and sugared food to take away or eat on the site.

Opening hours:  from April to October, daily from 11.30 a.m to 6.30 p.m.

Restaurants and shops on Place Saint-Louis

All year long, restaurants and shops are open for visitors on the village square of Chambord (between the parking areas and the château), offering varied menus, local specialties and origin-linked products (wine, terries, biscuits, etc.)

To anticipate the 500th anniversary of Chambord, we are launching a campaign to adopt a vine in Chambord’s historic vineyard, planted in 1518.
