Chambord has been a pioneer in sound and light since 1952. Illuminations are part of his tradition. The design of new lighting will highlight the monument with elegance and sobriety. The illumination of the façades will complete the restoration of the surroundings and the French gardens. Magnifying the castle, it will diffuse, like a romantic theatre setting, a moving light similar to the natural lighting of the sun and moon. Illuminations are part of his tradition. The design of new lighting will highlight the monument with elegance and sobriety. This project should be carefully integrated into a protected natural environment. Discreet lighting will reveal the beauty of Chambord’s architecture while respecting the fauna that lives in the estate and thus preserving its tranquility and nocturnal rest.

In a double concern of durability and economy, the lights used for this lighting will be made of LED bulbs allowing a durable and rational lighting.

This lighting will be applied to the 156-metre-long north façade overlooking the French gardens and the Relais de Chambord hotel (reopened in March 2018). Designed in the spirit of a free and poetic luminous walk, the illuminations will invite visitors to dream.

The lighting of the north facade of the castle and the trail will enhance the architecture and provide a more secure route for visitors who will now have the opportunity to discover Chambord at night.
