New 2025: the castle is closed on Mondays during low season.
Chambord is experimenting with Monday closing of the château during the off season. This year, it will cover the period from from 17 November to 23 March inclusive, except for school holidays, whatever the French academic zone. The château will consequently be closed to the public on:
– 17 and 24 November 2025,
– 1, 8 and 15 December 2025,
– 5, 12, 19 and 26 January 2026,
– 2 February 2026,
– 9, 16 and 23 March 2026.
Annual closure on 1st January and 25th December.

The booking department is open :
- from April to October and: 7 days a week – 9 am to 6 pm (5 pm week-ends et bank holidays),
- from 1st December 2025 to 4th January 2026: 7 days a week – 9 am to 5 pm
- from November to March: from Monday to Saturday – 9 am to 5 pm

Guided tours
We offer guided tours of the château for individuals and groups on booking. Our guides will give your customers access to areas that are usually closed to the public.
Admission to the château as well as speaking rights are free for external professional guides on presentation of their professional card. The guide must wear it visibly during the tour.
