Opening hours

Open all year round, all day long, the chateau of Chambord offers the public the longest opening periods :

from january 2nd to march 21st : 9:00 am to 5:15 pm   
 from march 22nd to july 11th : 9:00 am to 6:15 pm    
from july 12h to august 17th : 9:00 am to 7:30 pm
from august 18th to september 30th : 9:00 am to 6:15 pm   
from october 1st to december 31st : 9:00 am to 5:15 pm
(the entrance closes 1/2 hour before the chateau)
Closed on January 1st, May 1st and December 25th


Entrance fees

full rate : 8,50 € / 9,50 €
reduced rate (groups over 20 people, 18-25 years old students) : 6,50 € / 7,50 €
free entry : take a ticket (children under 18, in family)


School parties

Entrance Fees : up to high-school (one adult for ten pupils) : free entry from October to March, 2 € per pupil from April to September.

School parties intending a free tour must book their visit by sending a fax to 00 (33) 2 54 33 31 74, or by email here. The teacher in charge will be invited to sign a "visitors contract" engaging the school's responsability in case of vandalism, and the pupils will be given a leaflet (the visitor's 8 commandments) as a reminder of security and behaviour standards in the chateau.

Bagpacks are not allowed inside the chateau. Please leave all luggage in the bus.

From Paris (north) : motorway A 10 towards Blois, exit n° 16 towards Mer, then secondary road D 112 to Chambord.
From Tours (south) : motorway A 10, exit n° 17 towards Blois, then secondary road D 33 to Chambord
