Programme::
Sequence 1 (classroom activity): Once upon a time, Prince Azur…
Through an illustrated fairytale, the children are introduced to the story of Prince Azur, who is overwhelmed by grief because the witch of the château has stolen his golden ball. Will the children sympathise with the prince?
Sequence 2 (classroom game): Are the children capable of helping the prince?
Only the children can help the prince against the witch, but it would be wise not to disturb her for no reason. So the prince sets the children a collective test – can they solve his great puzzle and thus prove their cleverness?
Sequence 3 (classroom activity): The magic salad
In the company of the Green Fairy, the children prepare a salad and, to the sound of chanting and musical instruments, recite the spell that will put the witch to sleep when she has eaten it.
Sequence 4: Prince Azur gets his ball back
The young prince is no foolhardy adventurer, and it is only thanks to the children and their encouragement that he overcomes his fear of approaching Salamander, the witch who has got his golden ball.
Sequence 5: The evil spell is broken
Thanks to the Green Fairy’s magic, the children break the spell that prevents the prince from entering his father’s room without being turned into a toad.
Sequence 6: The children’s reward
To thank the children for their bravery after so many comings and goings, Prince Azur leads the children off to a quiet spot to tell them the true story of Salamander the witch.
