Christmas in Chambord

Have you ever visited “a building as handsome as a fairy palace and as large as a palace for kings”?

Starting on 1 December, in a magical holiday atmosphere, discover Chambord as you had never seen it before!


For this 6th edition, Chambord dresses for the winter by adorning its interior with majestic Christmas trees and sumptuous decoration. From ground level to the second floor, through the entrance porch, the famous double helix staircase and inside the chapel, the visitor’s itinerary will be sublimated by Christmas magic.


The outdoor pathways will likewise be embellished with a hundred magnificent Christmas trees illuminated at night fall.

Let yourself be carried away by the splendor of the site…


New attractions 2018:

  • Illumination of the new French gardens and the chateau’s northern facade 
  • Presentation of the Christmas trees produced by renowned brands on the 2nd floor of the castle


Chateau entertainment:

From 1 December:  traditional wood games (Louis XIV billiard, troll-madam…) and board games

15 and 16 December; 22 December through 6 January: dance and chant of the Renaissance, strolling costumed characters, nature activities, storytelling, encounters with Santa Claus and numerous additional surprises…

To anticipate the 500th anniversary of Chambord, we are launching a campaign to adopt a vine in Chambord’s historic vineyard, planted in 1518.
