With some 90 rooms open daily to visitors, there is no official circuit for visiting the Château of Chambord.
A leaflet guide, available free of charge in 13 languages from the château entrance, outlines all the things you’ll see during your visit.

At times surprising and disconcerting, this unusual way of visiting a château will reveal it to you in a different light, without a doubt filling you with the unique satisfaction of being able to get properly to grips with this stone mass for yourself.

In addition to this little guide handed out at the site entrance, information panels are also on display in each room going into more detail about history, daily life and exhibited works. These help you to constantly see the room you are visiting as part of a bigger historical and architectural picture.
